Teaching at Tonbridge Calling
For those of you not local to Tonbrige or, even those who are local and have not heard of Tonbridge Calling – let me start this blog by explaining what it is.
Tonbridge Calling was a fantastic free day festival set in the town center to promote openness and a warmth in the community. It included a variety of different activities from live music to yoga sessions. I imagine at this point the pieces have started to fall together. As you can imagine I was incredibly honoured when I was approached by one of the organisers and asked if I would teach a few yoga sessions at the festival.
I have lived in Tonbridge for over 28 years now and really supported what it stood for so naturally I jumped at the chance to be a part of it. The festival took place on a 12th August on a fortuitously sunny day in Tonbridge park. There was a crowd of people and a real lively atmosphere cultivated throughout the day.
It was the first time I had ever done anything of the sort and it was such a great experience!
Tonbridge had a wonderful day festival in August promoting tolerance and diversity in the area. I was lucky enough to have the opportunity to share my knowledge and teach some yoga. Read about my experience here.
